We’re growing our operations and deepening our roots.

Our growth strategy is about more than expansion—it’s about shaping a resilient future. By scaling production, refining operations, and embracing innovation, we’re creating capacity that supports both our business and the planet.

We’re in this for the long-haul.

Our Growth Strategy represents a long-term commitment to continued operations in Saskatchewan, supporting local people, communities, and prosperity for decades to come. Our long-term plan is designed to increase production and create new opportunities over the next 20 years.

Ramp-Up Program

Our Ramp-Up Program is aimed at increasing production at Bethune mine toward 4 million tonnes per year. The program involves a series of projects over time to expand capacity across mining, processing, storage, and logistics to enable increased production.

We’ve broken ground on our first major projects with major construction activity picking up in spring 2026. From then until 2030 and beyond, there will be a steady construction effort to complete the projects required to meet our increased production target.

Secondary mining will serve as the principal method for scaling production.

Long-term investments support continued construction and system improvements.

This phase includes energy transformation initiatives and optimized production to support future demand.

Beneath the Surface: How We Unlock Critical Minerals

Together these videos showcase how we extract potash using two complementary approaches: primary solution mining and secondary mining.

Primary Mining

Secondary Mining

Resource-Conscious Growth

As we move ahead with plans to nearly double production at Bethune to 4 million tonnes of potash per year, our approach focuses on making more from what we already have.

Secondary mining allows us to increase production from existing caverns instead of creating new ones. This helps reduce fresh water use intensity, energy demand, and land disturbance.

We are also investing in projects like cogeneration, which improves energy efficiency and helps reduce emissions intensity.

Benefits

As we optimize our operations, we’re creating lasting value, not just for the potash industry, but for people and communities across Saskatchewan. Our growth is designed to deliver long-term benefits close to home.
